Cloud Solutions Architect Role

About this Position

This is a pivotal role in establishing and leading the development of a Cloud Center of Excellence environment leveraging AWS technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices, combined with strong leadership and communication skills.

This position will work closely with DevOps and other departments to promote higher uptimes, better user experience, and develop future improvements to the overall cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS).
  • Provides guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.
  • Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities.
  • Works with Infrastructure and Product teams on issues related to AWS design and architecture.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience.

Required Skills:

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience.
  • 3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail.
  • 3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
