Lead Attorney for Global Legal and Compliance

About the Role:

You will be part of a highly skilled team, supporting business development activities across multiple regions. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide strategic legal guidance on complex domestic and international matters.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes software agreements with clients worldwide.
  • Prepare and negotiate IT-service, procurement, and purchase agreements that align with business objectives.
  • Provide expert legal support on project agreements, commercial contracts, and corporate documents.

Legal Advisory:
  • Serve as the primary legal contact for all local legal matters in India.
  • Support regional management with comprehensive legal risk assessments and compliance with Indian law and international trade standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with sales, consulting, and business teams to deliver practical legal solutions.
  • Guide stakeholders on legal risks, best practices, and compliance requirements, ensuring seamless business operations.

Requirements:

  • B.A. + LL.B. / B.A. + LL.M. Master's in a related field is preferred.
  • Must be admitted as a Solicitor / Advocate in India or eligible.
  • Requires graduation from a reputable law school with above-average results or 5+ years of legal experience.

Desired Skills:
  • Strong expertise in TMT law, IP/IT law, software licensing, and SaaS contracts.
  • Thorough knowledge of Indian legal, HR, corporate, and compliance regulations.
  • Business-fluent legal English.
