Job Title:

Admission Counselor

Job Summary:

We seek a dynamic Admission Counselor to foster meaningful connections with prospective students and their families, guiding them through the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospective Student Engagement: Serve as primary point of contact for prospective students, providing clear information about academic programs, admission requirements, application deadlines, and financial aid options.
  • Application Support: Assist prospective students with the application process, reviewing application materials, ensuring they meet admission requirements, and helping students navigate the online application portal.
  • Counseling & Guidance: Offer personalized guidance based on students' academic goals and interests, helping students identify the best-fit program.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and participate in recruitment events, open houses, information sessions, and campus tours, representing the institution at college fairs and high school visits.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Review and evaluate student applications, including academic transcripts, test scores, and recommendation letters.
  • Communication & Follow-Up: Maintain regular communication with prospective students via email, phone, or in-person meetings, following up on leads and inquiries.
  • Collaboration with Faculty & Staff: Work closely with faculty, staff, and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and admissions outcomes, preparing reports on application trends and student demographics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or higher education counseling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and experience with admission management software (e.g., CRM systems).
