Job Title: Senior Database Administrator

A senior-level database administrator responsible for administering multiple Oracle and SQL Server databases spread across locations in a distributed environment.

Main Responsibilities:

">
  • Providing 24/7 user support through on-call duties
  • Escalating problems to corporate teams and third-party vendors as necessary
  • Identifying and resolving database-related issues
  • Performing periodic health checks on databases
  • Formulating new database requirements based on inputs from implementation and support teams
  • Generating ad-hoc reports
  • Providing data setup support for QA and Dev environments
  • Maintaining master data
  • Monitoring and administering report queues
  • Monitoring and administering Golden Gate replication routines
  • Troubleshooting database issues
  • Identifying bottlenecks and resolving them

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with vendors regarding new patches for databases and applications, as well as new requirements and bugs within specified timelines
  • Providing technical training to peers and subordinates within the IT department
  • Testing product patches released by vendors and tracking issues until closure
  • Supporting user acceptance testing for new features and functionalities added in HIS and related systems
  • Providing go-live support post deployment of new features
  • Maintaining issue trackers on a daily basis
  • Maintaining approval records
  • Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel across Medanta group of hospitals on short-term or long-term basis
  • Desirable: knowledge of healthcare provider space
