Key Responsibilities:

  • MySQL Administration: Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, replication setup/monitoring, and user management.
  • Ensure database health by monitoring for metadata locks, slow queries, replication lag, and optimizing performance.
  • Server Management: Manage Linux servers by handling user management, process monitoring, cron jobs, package updates, and system resource checks.
  • Implement and monitor backup and recovery processes using tools like mysqldump or Percona XtraBackup.
  • Perform routine patching, upgrades, and security hardening for MySQL and Linux environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; escalate complex problems to senior engineers with proper RCA inputs.
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills, capacity planning, and system audits.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base documentation.

About the Role

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in database administration and Linux server management. The ideal candidate will have experience with database troubleshooting, backup and recovery processes, and server maintenance.
