Job Opportunity

This is a high-level technical role that requires expertise in tax management systems and ERP integrations.

About the Position:
  • We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of indirect taxation, including Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, and Withholding Tax.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Vertex Tax Calculation Rules, Tax Jurisdictions, and Product Taxability Assignments.
  • They will also be responsible for supporting ERP integrations with Vertex, including Oracle Fusion and internal systems.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience with Vertex tax systems and ERP integrations, as well as strong problem-solving skills for complex tax calculation issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Apply expertise in Indirect Taxation to apply accurate tax rates, exemptions, and tax determinations.
  2. Maintain and troubleshoot Vertex Tax Calculation Rules, Tax Jurisdictions, and Product Taxability Assignments.
  3. Support tax reporting and compliance, including generating reports for tax filing and audit purposes.
  4. Handle tax accruals and reconciliations to ensure General Ledger accuracy.
  5. Perform data analysis by querying ERP and Vertex databases for tax calculations, transaction history, and reconciliation.
  6. Troubleshoot ERP-Vertex integration issues, including debugging tax calculation problems and resolving batch processing issues.
  7. Implement performance optimization by identifying slow queries and improving tax data loads.

  • Experience with SQL and data analysis.
