We are seeking an experienced Food Regulatory Expert with strong expertise in international food regulations to lead our regulatory intelligence on domestic and export food labelling regulations across multiple markets.

This role requires a deep understanding of global regulatory updates, the ability to analyse and interpret them, and translate them into actionable implications for food businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of tracking and analysing regulatory changes, advisories, and amendments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Intelligence: Lead regulatory intelligence on domestic and export food labelling regulations across multiple markets.
  • Global Regulatory Updates: Monitor, analyse and interpret global regulatory updates and translate them into actionable implications for food businesses.
  • Regulatory Compliance: In-depth understanding of similarities and dissimilarities between national and international food laws regarding additives, ingredients, nutrition information, metrology nuances, front of pack labelling, advertising claims.
  • Digitisation: Support digitisation of regulatory frameworks into our SaaS platform.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership in nutraceuticals, health supplements, and functional foods.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product, technology, and client teams to strengthen digital regulatory solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Regulatory Expertise: Minimum 8 years' experience in food science, nutrition, or regulatory affairs, with a focus on international food export regulations.
  • Label Claims: Strong working knowledge of labelling standards, claims regulations, and compliance requirements in key global markets.
  • Regulatory Analysis: Proven ability to track and analyse regulatory changes, advisories, and amendments.
  • Nutraceuticals: Familiarity with nutraceuticals and health supplement regulations is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with industry, clients, and regulators.
  • Documentation: Strong analytical and documentation skills to support digitisation of regulatory processes.
  • Trade Policies: Industry understanding of trade policies, export compliance challenges, and regulatory impact on food businesses.
