Key Account Manager - Mortgage Lending
  • The primary objective of this role is to acquire new clients and foster repeat business by ensuring prompt and courteous service.
  • You will carry out regular meetings and sales calls with real estate professionals on a daily basis to source potential leads.
  • It is essential to identify the right customer profile by sourcing customers based on relevant market research and segmentation norms.
  • You will provide market insights to senior management, highlighting competitor activity and emerging trends in the local area.
  • Develop cross-selling and up-selling strategies to enhance fee-based income through various financial services products and loans.
  • Participate in initiatives driven by Business Development teams to stay informed about industry developments.
  • Build relationships with real estate agents, home builders, developers, attorneys, professional organizations, bankers, direct sales associates, channel partners, etc. in the designated area to source new business opportunities.
  • Ensure timely on-boarding of DSAs, DSTs, Brokers, and other channel partners.
  • Resolve queries and ensure timely payouts to channel partners.
  • Retain and manage existing client relationships through effective communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Regularly review client requirements and monitor relationships from initiation to closure; provide feedback to senior management.
  • Ensure that client promises are kept, and their grievances are adequately addressed and escalated to senior management if necessary.
  • Adhere to standardized sales processes and documentation norms for efficient and compliant client request fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory procedures and guidelines.
  • Collect and submit accurate documentation required for credit analysis.
  • Coordinate with the credit risk team for pre- and post-sanction activities such as execution of documentation and loan proposal sanctioning.
  • Collaborate with the operations team for pre- and post-sanction activities like disbursements and handling deviations during the credit life cycle.
  • Monitor and support collections teams in recovering Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).
  • Coordinate with market intermediaries like banks and distributors for smooth operations.
  • Provide detailed periodic activity and sales reports to senior management, updating MIS databases related to case status and issues.
  • Monitor PDDs and submit collection data to risk or operations teams.
  • Undertake Approved Project Funding (APF) and Approved Disbursement Funding (ADF) activities for faster penetration in the segment, monitoring progress, sales, and other metrics.
  • Track non-starter cases and coordinate recovery efforts for outstanding dues.
  • Closely monitor delinquent cases and take necessary steps for collections.

  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending industry dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven track record in sales, marketing, and business development.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management, loan processing, and operations.
  • Experience with CRM software and database management.
