Surgical Product Development Specialist

Surgical product development specialists are responsible for designing and developing medical devices that meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers. They work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and test new products, ensuring they are safe, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for innovative product development.
- Conduct market research and analyze competitor activity to inform product design decisions.
- Design and develop surgical instruments, implants, and other medical devices using computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D printing techniques.
- Test and evaluate prototypes to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documents, such as design dossiers and technical files, to support product approvals.
- Maintain accurate records of product design, testing, and regulatory activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in surgical product development, preferably in a medical device company.
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and ISO standards for medical device development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
