Operating Theater Technician

Job Description:

  • Our team is seeking an experienced and skilled Operating Theater Technician to join our medical facility. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing operating rooms for surgery by ensuring all equipment is in good working order and that the environment is safe and clean.

  • You will maintain aseptic conditions throughout the surgical procedure, ensuring proper sterilization of equipment and maintaining a high standard of hygiene at all times.

  • As an Operating Theater Technician, you will also be responsible for preparing and passing surgical instruments to surgeons as needed, counting sponges and needles before and after surgery, and delivering specimens to the hospital lab for analysis.

  • In addition to these key responsibilities, you will transport patients to the recovery room after surgery and clean and restock the operating room after procedures have been completed.
