As a security professional in the healthcare space, you will play a critical role in protecting sensitive health data and ensuring full compliance with HIPAA Security, Privacy, and Breach Notification Rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive security awareness training programs for employees.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external clients regarding compliance-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate meetings, compliance walkthroughs, and documentation reviews across IT, HR, Legal, and client teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Support clients through assessments, RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires by working closely with subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations to implement and document Change Management and Access Control practices.
  • Participate in incident response processes, including maintaining logs and facilitating communication between teams.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of internal documentation: policies, procedures, training materials, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by organizing evidence, facilitating interviews, and ensuring preparedness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in compliance, data privacy, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to conduct presentations, host sessions, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, organized approach to work.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to support U.S.-based clients.
