Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

About the Role:

  • This is a senior-level position responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations in a fast-paced US-based environment.
  • You will lead and manage a team of finance professionals supporting multiple clients, providing guidance, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, Month-End/Quarter-End/Year-End Closures, and Financial Reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP, SOX compliance, and client-specific guidelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for multiple US clients – manage expectations, resolve escalations, and ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal and client-side) to streamline financial processes and implement best practices.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide training and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure process documentation is up to date and SOPs are followed consistently.
  • Review team KPIs and SLAs to ensure high-quality service delivery and identify areas of improvement.
  • Handle transitions and onboarding of new client processes, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and ramp-up.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare management reports and present insights and status updates to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Lead and manage a team of finance professionals.
  2. Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations including AP, AR, GL, Bank Reconciliation, Month-End Closures, and Financial Reporting.
  3. Compliance: Ensure adherence to US GAAP, SOX compliance, and client-specific guidelines.
  4. Clients Management: Act as the primary point of contact for multiple US clients.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA/MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in US Finance operations, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of US accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements (US GAAP, SOX).
  • Proven experience in managing multiple US-based clients across varied industries.
  • Proficient in financial systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
