We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage data cleaning and quality assurance processes for our software product in India.

About the Role

The successful candidate will manually review large datasets of raw financial transaction spend data, verifying and making corrections based on U.S. accounting rules.

They will transform this data into accurate business expense insights using tabular data in our proprietary software.

This cleaned data will then be used to build insights products in our fastest-growing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update raw financial transaction spend data and invoices to create an accurate representation of business expense insights.
  • Verify and correct financial transaction data following U.S. accounting rules, which includes manually adjusting data by examining expense trends over time, across many vendors and different accounting record types.
  • Document repeated data issues and work with other Data and Engineering teams to improve data quality assurance processes.
Requirements
  • 0-3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst.
  • At least 1 year of full-time work experience as an A/P bookkeeper, junior accountant, Accounts Payables (A/P) clerk, or in a similar position using U.S. accounting practices.
  • Experience with ERP software such as Netsuite, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
