Research Mathematician - AI Model EvaluationJob Description:

We seek researchers with strong mathematical backgrounds to fine-tune and evaluate large language models (LLMs) for complex math problem-solving. Your work will contribute to improving LLMs' ability to understand and solve multi-step algebra or logic questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate LLMs on various mathematical tasks, including but not limited to, determining the number of symmetric matrices of rank 2, counting subsets of a set with specific characteristics, and calculating distinct numbers with certain properties.
  • Collaborate with experts in developing model evaluation strategies and workflows.
  • Participate in academic-industry hybrid settings to advance next-generation AI benchmarks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Academic Background: PhD/Postdoc in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to solve advanced math problems with clear reasoning.
  • Communication Skills: Clarity in explaining complex topics and providing feedback.
  • Research Independence: Ability to work independently and participate in team discussions.
