Central Distribution Manager Job Summary

This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the central distribution center's day-to-day operations, including managing inventory levels and optimizing logistics.

The ideal candidate will have experience in distribution management, team leadership, and vendor coordination. A strong understanding of technology systems, such as WMS and ERP, is also required.

  • Manage and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with procurement, planning, and store teams for accurate demand forecasting.
  • Lead and supervise warehouse teams, shift managers, and logistics staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Central Distribution Management: Oversee daily operations of the CDC or hub.
  2. Inventory Control & Logistics: Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinate with procurement teams, and optimize inventory turnover.
  3. Team & Vendor Coordination: Lead warehouse teams, coordinate with 3PL providers, and manage vendor SLAs.
  4. Technology & Systems Oversight: Ensure proper use of WMS, ERP, and DMS, track orders through automated tools, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
  5. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to safety standards, prepare MIS reports on inventory movement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
