Job Overview:

Database Developer Role
  • Design, implement and manage databases using SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB and other technologies.
  • Ensure database integrity, security and performance through proactive maintenance, backup and restore procedures.
  • Develop and maintain database architecture, schema and configuration for optimal system availability and scalability.
  • Work with the security team to implement robust security measures and best practices for data protection.
  • Coordinate database migrations between servers and versions, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Partner with development teams to integrate AI-driven solutions and create advanced Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver actionable insights through data visualization and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain database documentation, including schema, configuration and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and develop complex database queries and data models.
  • Implement row-level security and manage access permissions in Power BI.
  • Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability, integrating data from multiple sources using Power Query and DAX.
  • Work with vendors and external partners to resolve technical issues and ensure data accuracy and consistency across dashboards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, design and maintenance, with a focus on SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Expert knowledge of database administration, design and maintenance principles, including security, performance and scalability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with database migrations, deployments and troubleshooting, as well as vendor support and Change Management processes.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and data modeling, with experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
