Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer with extensive experience in Telecom. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing applications and tools to ensure high levels of system performance, scalability, and reliability across our critical infrastructure.

This position demands deep technical expertise in performance testing, engineering methodologies, database tuning, cloud environments, and container orchestration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, .NET, or Golang, and experience with performance testing frameworks and automation tools.

Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of database performance analysis, design, tuning, and monitoring for relational databases like Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and Apache Ignite.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing and optimizing caching solutions and strategies using technologies like Redis, Memcache, Infinispan, or Hazelcast to improve application response times.

Other key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive JVM tuning, monitoring, thread, and heap dump analysis using tools like JVisualVM, JConsole, JFR, and MAT, as well as optimizing the performance of various application containers like Nginx, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and IIS.

The Performance Engineer will also be expected to apply their expertise in Cloud environments such as Google Cloud (GCP) and Azure Cloud, drive performance optimization within container-based environments like Kubernetes and Apache Mesos, and utilize knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet for infrastructure as code and configuration management related to performance environments.

In addition, the candidate will be responsible for executing Performance Engineering optimization over DataLake or Data Platforms (Big Data/Hadoop/Hive/Spark) to ensure efficient data processing and develop specialized data analysis tools or visualization dashboards for real-world application and network performance.

1. Design, develop, and maintain performance testing and engineering strategies, principles, and methodologies for complex telecom applications.
2. Write high-quality, efficient code in programming languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, .NET, or Golang to build performance testing frameworks and automation tools.
3. Conduct in-depth database performance analysis, design, tuning, and monitoring for relational databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) using tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM, and TkProf.
4. Apply strong knowledge of tuning and database administration for NoSQL databases, including Cassandra, MongoDB, and Apache Ignite.
5. Implement and optimize caching solutions and strategies using technologies such as Redis, Memcache, Infinispan, or Hazelcast to improve application response times.
6. Perform performance tuning and monitoring on Unix/Linux operating systems using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, netstat, vmstat, iostat, top, and sar, alongside shell programming/scripting.
7. Conduct comprehensive JVM tuning, monitoring, thread, and heap dump analysis using tools like JVisualVM, JConsole, JFR, and MAT.
8. Optimize the performance of various application containers including Nginx, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and IIS.
9. Apply extensive Performance Engineering expertise in Cloud environments such as Google Cloud (GCP) and Azure Cloud.
10. Drive performance optimization within container-based environments like Kubernetes and Apache Mesos.
11. Utilize knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet for infrastructure as code and configuration management related to performance environments.
12. Execute Performance Engineering optimization over DataLake or Data Platforms (Big Data/Hadoop/Hive/Spark) to ensure efficient data processing.
13. Develop specialized data analysis tools or visualization solutions for real-world application and network performance.

• Prior experience in building applications and tools for performance engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality code in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, .NET, or Golang).
• Strong capabilities in Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, including development, design, tuning, and monitoring (AWR, ASH, ADDM, TkProf).
• Strong knowledge of tuning and Database Administration over NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and Apache Ignite.
• Knowledge of Caching solutions/strategies (Redis, Memcache, Infinispan, Hazelcast).
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux OS (Shell programming/scripting, Tuning/Monitoring) using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, netstat, vmstat, iostat, top, and sar.
• Expertise in JVM Tuning, Monitoring, Thread & Heap dump analysis, and proficiency in tools like JVisualVM, JConsole, JFR, MAT.
• Experience in performance optimization of application containers like Nginx, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and IIS.
• Proven experience in Performance Engineering in Cloud environments (GCP, Azure Cloud).
• Experience in Performance Engineering in container-based environments (Kubernetes, Apache Mesos).
• Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• Experience in running Performance Engineering optimization over DataLake or Data Platforms (Big Data/Hadoop/Hive/Spark) to ensure efficient data processing.
