Accounting Associate

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing company invoices and end-to-end Accounts Payable processes. They will have a daily contact with suppliers and cooperate closely with other departments at the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register supplier invoices
  • Investigate supplier invoice disputes on a daily basis
  • Run daily, weekly and monthly reports in Excel and action open queries
  • Reconcile Supplier statements and handle disputes
  • Archive and file documents in line with country legislation
  • Work closely with Business Development Managers, Product Specialists and aligned vendor and partner contacts
  • Manage and maintain the pipeline for opportunities within defined criteria and accounts base
  • Assist and support accounts on queries
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with vendor personnel
  • Take responsibility for self-development in both product knowledge and job competencies, achieving all objectives set

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a hardworking and proactive approach. They should have a strong desire to give excellent customer service, resolving enquiries efficiently and professionally. The candidate should also be capable of having a high-level understanding of the client's product portfolio (training will be given).

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (Spoken & Written)
  • Fast learner with the ability to pick up new systems and processes
  • Great attention to detail and multitasking
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables)
  • Numerate with accounting knowledge and adept with Supply chain management accounting (preferably Electronic industry)
