Key Leadership Role: Director - SOG
Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Develop a comprehensive vision for the School of Governance to drive academic and research excellence, aligning with medium and long-term priorities.
- Provide strategic leadership to teaching and non-teaching staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and excellence.
- Cultivate an environment where students thrive, learn, and grow into leaders and innovators, equipped to address societal challenges.
- Collaborate across disciplines and departments to develop synergies between education, research, and service priorities, enhancing the university's reputation.
- Oversee academic programs, designing high-quality curricula that meet governance needs with a global perspective, comparable to the best in the country.
- Lead and drive social initiatives, providing inputs, support, and research for various projects, such as NLC, Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, and National Women's Parliament.
- Plan and recruit high-calibre faculty on time to ensure effective teaching, research, and consultancy activities.
- Focus on continuous faculty development, ensuring faculty members are updated on the latest developments in their areas of specialization.
- Engage with society to understand changing needs, incorporating them into curriculum development, and foster alumni engagement for mutual benefit.
- Comply with regulatory requirements and participate in university activities, promoting collaboration and achieving larger interests.
- Track local, regional, and national legislative and policy issues related to the field, developing strategies to inform board, management, and staff.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including persuasive presentations and reports.
- Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple teams, priority setting, planning, budgeting, performance review, and influencing with limited authority.
- Strong experience engaging with government officials and multilateral organizations.
