Commercial Leader - Retail and eCommerce Expert

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our commercial strategy, leveraging their expertise in retail and eCommerce sectors.

  • About the Role:
    • This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a strong commercial mindset, capable of supporting growth, profitability, and operational excellence across multiple channels.
    • The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills, able to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for retail and online segments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
    • Perform variance analysis, scenario planning, and KPI tracking to support strategic decision-making and drive business improvement initiatives.
    • Provide expert guidance on pricing strategies, promotional planning, and inventory optimization to maximize sales and revenue growth.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive business growth, improve customer experience, and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Support expansion initiatives, including new store openings, digital platform investments, and strategic partnerships to accelerate business growth.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
    • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, coordinating with external auditors as needed.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
    • Monitor cash flow projections and working capital requirements, optimizing inventory and receivables to improve cash conversion cycles and minimize financial risk.
  • Qualifications & Skills:
    • Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification with significant experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in retail or eCommerce sectors.
    • Proven track record of driving business growth, improving profitability, and enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to stakeholders.
