Breakwater Construction Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Breakwater Construction Specialist to lead our port expansion project in Kerala, India.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in breakwater design, construction, and coastal engineering. They must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to manage large teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Construct Breakwater Systems: Develop and implement breakwater systems that ensure the protection of port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and budget management.
  • Coastal & Marine Engineering: Apply expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution and regulatory compliance.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
