As a key figure in student journeys, the Counselling Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping undergraduate applications.

Counselling Managers oversee students from initial counselling to university acceptances, leading teams of counselors and collaborating with mentors and editors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee students through undergraduate admissions, from onboarding to final decisions.
  • Develop strong academic and extracurricular profiles, including research, internships, and community impact projects.
  • Strategize personalized student journeys by advising on subject selection, testing, university shortlisting, and long-term planning.
  • Review and provide detailed feedback on application components, including personal statements, SOPs, LORs, essays, resumes, and forms.
  • Offer direct mentorship for complex cases, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Mentor and manage a team of counselors, ensuring consistency, timely communication, and adherence to admissions timelines.
  • Coordinate internal teams to align strategy and execution for each student.
  • Organize trainings, case reviews, and brainstorming sessions to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Provide expert guidance on U.S., U.K., and Canadian admissions platforms.
  • Advise families on academic equivalencies, scholarship opportunities, interview preparation, and offer comparisons.
  • Maintain clear communication with students and parents, provide regular progress updates, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Track and document student milestones to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in any discipline (preferably from or with experience studying in the U.S., U.K., or Canada).
  • 2–4 years of experience in academic counseling, university admissions, or education advisory roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in academic and admissions writing.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking abilities, with confidence to manage multiple high-stakes student timelines.
  • Empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactive – able to build trust with students and families.
  • Familiarity with undergraduate/postgraduate platforms is strongly preferred.
  • A passion for education, student growth, and lifelong learning.
