Technical IT Infrastructure Specialist Role

This role is focused on providing high-quality technical support to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of datacentres, platforms, and corporate systems.

  • AIX Server Management Expertise
  • Knowledge of SAN and Storage Array Configuration would be advantageous
  • Backup, Replication, HA, and Recovery Technologies Skills
  • AIX Server Security Management Experience
  • Server Hardware Knowledge
Job Responsibilities

Administration and management of all development, UAT, pre-production, production, and DR environments as well as internal corporate IT systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include:

  • Availability - Applications available when users need them.
  • Performance - Applications scale with user demand.
  • Security - Protected from unauthorized access and data loss.
  • Reliability - Fault-tolerant with no single points of failure.
  • Value for Money - Shared core infrastructure improves application delivery and reduces costs per application.

Key responsibilities include ensuring uptime SLA's are met every month by managing and resolving issues logs; performing scheduled maintenance to minimize disruption; managing third-party support contracts where required.

Requirements

Key requirements for this role include:

  • AIX Operating System Administration Skills.
  • Knowledge of Automation Scripting.
  • Keen interest in and knowledge of latest server and storage technologies.
  • Infrastructure Project Implementation Experience.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Passionate about providing an excellent service experience for our clients.
  • Superior Problem-Solving Capabilities.
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent Time-Management Skills - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
