Job Description

As a seasoned storage professional, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of SAN and storage environments. This includes collaborating with customer support teams, participating in problem-solving and troubleshooting, and providing design, operation, workflow, and issue resolution for storage infrastructure.

You will also be responsible for tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth, maintaining storage documentation, procedures, and reporting, and providing Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration.

  • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity, performing capacity analysis, and analyzing performance data and trends.
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problem(s) or problem records for root cause analysis, perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices from Hitachi Global Support and Company change management policies.
  • Mentor and train junior admins to ensure knowledge sharing and expertise development within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You should have 8+ years of experience in handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above, along with hands-on experience on Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.

Additionally, you should have exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S including basic cluster management.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, and having Hitachi Technical certification is desirable.
