
Vulnerability Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management professional to collaborate with development teams, business teams, and cross-functional technology stakeholders.
- The cybersecurity team is a technical and metrics-driven group focused on process optimization and automation to enhance effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remediation of web application vulnerabilities through proactive scanning and issue resolution.
- Integration of new web applications into the vulnerability management framework.
- Maintenance of daily operations for Vulnerability Management tools and infrastructure.
- Scanning web applications and analyzing results to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Regularly scan servers, protocols, middleware, and networks for vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with developers and application owners to remediate vulnerabilities and reduce risk.
- Document vulnerability exceptions and escalate high-priority issues that require timely attention.
- Support periodic web application penetration testing efforts to assess security posture.
- Facilitate meetings and security reviews with business personnel to discuss vulnerabilities and their associated risks.
- Provide monthly performance metrics for the Vulnerability Management Program, highlighting its success in reducing risk.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity.
- Expertise in Vulnerability Management with a strong understanding of web application vulnerability discovery, remediation, and scanning.
- At least 2 years of experience working with web application vulnerability scanning tools, such as Nexpose, Nessus, Burp Suite, White Hat, and Nmap.
- Familiarity with Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and Static Application Security Scanning (SAST), OWASP Top 10, and enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams.
- Knowledge of IT security policies, application/server/middleware security, and cloud vulnerability management.
- Experience maintaining and maturing a Vulnerability Management Program.
- Experience with Rapid7 InsightAppSec (IAS) or equivalent solutions.
