Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist
","Job Description:
","The primary objective of the Cybersecurity Specialist is to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in our workstations. This entails analyzing scan data, conducting thorough research on potential threats, and implementing effective mitigation strategies within strict timelines. In addition to vulnerability analysis, deployment of security patches and software updates may be required. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also need to present findings to senior IT leadership.
","Key Responsibilities:
","• Analyze results of regular vulnerability scans
","• Determine business criticality of various systems and prioritize work based on risk
","• Complete tasks within assigned deadlines
","• Collaborate with IT, security, and development teams to ensure timely and effective remediation
","• Investigate and remediate malfunctioning security agents
","• Document and report on remediation activities, including progress and outcomes
","Requirements:
","• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
","• Strong written and oral communication skills
","• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus/Tenable, Qualys, OpenVAS)
","• Basic understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies
","Preferred Qualifications:
","• Associate degree in computer science or management information systems, and/or 3-5 years of related work experience
","• 1-3 years of vulnerability remediation experience, with expertise in patch management and scripting
","• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH)
","Work Environment:
","This is an office position, with occasional travel for remote support.
","Travel Requirements:
","Up to 15% of work time may involve travel for remote support purposes.
