About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a key position in our organization. As an HPC System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our high-performance computing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer and manage HPC clusters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Manage user accounts for onboarding and offboarding of HPC users, adhering to strict security protocols.
  • Create and maintain AMI images in AWS accounts, guaranteeing seamless integration with our systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on HPC clusters, adhering to industry standards.
  • Support HPC components and native services by coordinating with providers, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Provide AWS Managed Active Directory support and management, ensuring secure access control.
  • Ensure continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
  • Implement and maintain necessary compliance controls, adhering to regulatory requirements.

Additional Tasks :

  • Conduct regular audits and share findings with corrective actions, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with teams for testing and migrating engineering applications, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Manage job schedulers such as Slurm or LSF, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Utilize node provisioning tools like Werewolf, streamlining deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support, delivering prompt resolutions.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation, minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate new technologies, driving innovation.

Requirements :

  • Progressive experience in HPC system administration, with a strong understanding of cluster management.
  • AWS Cloud formation templates experience, with expertise in deploying scalable solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of job schedulers and node provisioning tools, with proficiency in automation scripts.
  • Proficiency in Linux OS administration, with experience in configuring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of parallel file systems and storage solutions, with an understanding of data management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficient issue resolution.
  • Linux+ certification preferred, demonstrating advanced technical expertise.
  • Top Secret Clearance : TS/SCI preferred, indicating a high level of security clearance.
