Job Description

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Commercial Data team in Advertising and develop leading property and market data insights to power Real Commercial products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end technical delivery of complex initiatives using agile methods and frameworks, providing technical leadership and guidance to the team, contributing to the design and architecture of scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions, establishing effective ways of working within and across teams, and embracing continuous learning and leveraging latest development trends to solve complex challenges.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing technical roadmaps to drive business growth.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in software development, particularly in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines. You should also have experience with data modeling, pipelines, consumption, analysis, and documentation, as well as knowledge of Agile, Lean, and iterative releasing.

The ideal candidate will have 8-13 years' experience as a developer, proven people leadership and mentoring experience, and a commitment to code quality and security. Bonus points for experience with Big Query, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS, Airflow, and interacting with REST APIs.
