Cloud Network Infrastructure Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Network Infrastructure Lead with around 6-8 years of experience in data center networking, including 1-3 years of experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN) specifically in private cloud & virtualization domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, maintain, and manage Cloud Network Infrastructure, including physical and SDN network framework.
  2. Ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance, maintaining Service Level Agreement standards.
  3. Maintain, audit, review, and update infrastructure documentation.
  4. Collaborate with clients and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests.
  5. Lead a team of Network Engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise as needed. Evaluate team member performance and provide feedback to the team and HR.
  6. Monitor key performance and capacity metrics, analyzing trends to assess risks and provide recommendations.
  7. Develop and deliver solution presentations or technical proposals for cloud network infrastructure.
  8. Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities, including Proof of Concept.

Requirements:

This is an in-depth technical role requiring 80% technical and 20% managerial capabilities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience and the ability to provide hands-on technical expertise and mentorship, ensuring compliance with business Service Level Agreements and goals.

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless, Cisco/Juniper/Fortigate firewalls, Load balancer, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Data Center network technologies:
  • WAN & Routing technologies (Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN, etc.)
  • Security technologies (Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies)
  • Switching (VLANs, VXLAN LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q)
  • Familiarity with QoS including basic QoS commands and implementations
  • Network monitoring Protocols & Tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Zabbix, PRTG, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience with VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, or Cisco.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
  • A highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
  • A motivated learner – able to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.
  • Experience leading a team of minimum 4 people in this role.
