Job Description

As a senior accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and verify purchase and sales bills, ensuring that they align with POs, invoices, and supplementary bills.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing cash control, vouchers, and daily transaction entries in accounting books or ERP systems. You will also oversee creditors management and vendor payments via NEFT/RTGS, handle LC documentation, and coordinate with bankers for daily operations.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements, calculating salary and wages, maintaining salary and attendance registers, and preparing monthly stock statements for banks under cash credit facilities.

Assisting in finalizing accounts, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements, is also an essential part of this role. You will draft official letters regarding accounts and statutory matters and generate management information reports.

Statutory Compliances

As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various tax laws and regulations. This includes computing and paying TDS, e-filing returns, issuing Form 16/16A, computing advance tax, and filing ITR.

You will also register, amend, generate challans, file GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B, annual returns, refunds, audits, and E-Way bills under GST. Additionally, you will make monthly contributions, generate UAN, facilitate transfers/withdrawals, and register employees under PF/ESI.

Legacy compliances such as VAT/CST, Excise Duty require filing, reconciliations, and audit support.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in finance and accounting. A B.Com (Accounting/Finance) is the minimum qualification required. An M.Com or specialization in Finance/Accounts is preferred.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and ERP systems is essential. You should also have strong knowledge of Indian Taxation, GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and statutory compliance.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple statutory timelines are critical skills for this role.
