Android Software Engineering Leader

 

The company is seeking a seasoned Android software engineering leader to oversee the development of mobile applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the development of Android libraries, services, and SDKs that form the foundation of the company's mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver complete features for end-users in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with REST APIs and services, suggesting UX designs and translating them into high-quality code.
  • Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Contribute to guiding software architecture and technology decisions by working closely with other team members.
  • Adhere to software engineering best practices in code, architecture, and testing.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience with Java and Kotlin Android development, with the ability to quickly learn new languages and tools.
  • Experience developing customer-facing apps (B2C) is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Jetpack Compose, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical requirements based on business needs.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment testing, tooling, and processes.
  • Experience with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning using various tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
