Job Title: Financial Operations Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable process, from vendor invoice processing to payment and expense reporting. This key role involves managing a team of AP staff, enforcing financial controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Processing: Supervise daily AP operations, including invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and vendor account management.
  • Team Management: Manage, train, and support accounts payable staff, promoting a positive work environment and high levels of productivity.
  • Compliance and Risk: Ensure adherence to company policies, tax regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in accounts payable.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in AP operations.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Support Services: Assist with audits, month-end, and year-end closing activities, generating reports and providing financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting, preferably with leadership experience.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Strong understanding of accounting principles, AP best practices, ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and MS Excel.
  • Skill Set: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail skills, with ability to work under deadlines.
