Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Chief People Officer to lead our Human Resources and Administration team at UpMan Placements. As a strategic partner to our senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business growth and employee engagement.

Key ResponsibilitiesHR Strategy & Leadership

As our Chief People Officer, you will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with our company's vision and business objectives.
  • Lead the HR team to foster a high-performance culture centered around innovation, employee engagement, and growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management to advise on HR policies, issues, and organizational structure to optimize employee performance.
Recruitment & Talent Management

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the recruitment process to attract top talent in pharmaceutical operations, research, and development roles.
  • Partnering with department heads to identify staffing needs and define job descriptions for new and existing roles.
  • Designing onboarding programs and ensuring seamless integration of new hires into our company culture.
  • Implementing strategies for talent development, career progression, and succession planning.
Employee Relations & Engagement

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Addressing employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Leading diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within our workplace.
  • Developing and implementing employee recognition programs to reward high performance.
Compensation & Benefits

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing competitive compensation and benefits structures.
  • Conducting salary benchmarking and maintaining equity across different roles and departments.
  • Ensuring compliance with local labor laws and industry standards related to compensation and benefits.
Performance Management

Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing the performance management process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Developing frameworks for setting, evaluating, and reviewing employee performance.
  • Providing guidance to managers on delivering feedback and creating development plans for their teams.
Compliance & Training

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws, pharmaceutical regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Implementing training and development programs that support both personal and professional growth, with a focus on compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Maintaining awareness of changes in legislation affecting employee rights and workplace regulations.
Administration ResponsibilitiesOffice Management & Operations

You will oversee:

  • The day-to-day administrative operations, ensuring office efficiency and smooth coordination between departments.
  • Office supplies, facilities, and equipment to support a productive work environment.
  • Meetings, events, and company-wide communication in line with business priorities.
Documentation & Record Management

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Ensuring proper management of administrative functions (e.g., payroll, insurance, employee benefits).
  • Overseeing the management of company policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly updated and compliant with regulations.
Budgeting & Resource Management

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing the HR and Administration department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Allocating resources efficiently across the HR and administrative functions.
Health & Safety Compliance

Your duties will include:

  • Overseeing workplace safety and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in pharmaceutical manufacturing or research settings.
  • Cordinating emergency procedures and supporting employee health and wellness initiatives.
Travel & Logistics Management

You will manage:

  • Travel arrangements for employees, including international travel, conferences, and training programs.
  • Logistical support for business events, meetings, and conferences.
Vendor Management

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Selecting and managing external vendors for office supplies, services, and equipment maintenance.
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure service quality.
