Job Purpose: This role is responsible for providing comprehensive sales support across all channels and segments to Emirates' trade partners, aiming to maximize revenue and achieve commercial targets.

To accomplish this, the Sales Support Assistant will work closely with the sales teams and external customers to ensure all requests are actioned promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining customer records, requests, and client complaints.
  • Coordinate and support the sales team in selling and marketing all products through efficient handling of direct mail and tele-sales.
  • Compile regular and ad-hoc reports to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient records systems for the sales team.
  • Respond to general queries from external customers and escalate issues as needed.
  • Liaise with other departments to obtain required information for prompt actioning of transactional sales activities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving problems and handling complaints promptly.
  • Support the Sales Support Team Leader/Manager with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Agency Support:

  • Troubleshoot trade partner inquiries, resolve problems, and answer contractual queries to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of fare rules and contracts for all sales channels and accounts.
  • Maintain understanding of all relevant commercial products in the marketplace.
  • Provide written communication for general commercial correspondence, redirecting correspondence to relevant departments and sales colleagues as needed.
  • Prepare and circulate ad-hoc commercial and sales advisory notices.
  • Obtain approval, keep records, and provide statistics for ad-hoc fare amendments, commercial activities, and other related tasks.
  • Create reservations, arrange ticketing, and fare collection as directed, resolving booking problems.
  • Regularly maintain and update salesforce.com, producing commercial reports using Emirates Group's systems.
  • Administer the preparations and organization of Client/Agency familiarization events, coordinating with other sponsoring organizations.

Groups Support:

  • Handle all nationwide business inquiries suitable for market areas, responding with quotations and reservations to maximize sales.
  • Work closely with the sales team to actively solicit group business, increasing revenue from ad-hoc group requests and group series.
  • Build group requests through the GYM Application, create group contracts, and monitor group movements throughout their life-cycle.
  • Book special services such as STPC, seat allocations, meals, group check-in, and other applicable services.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for all groups, tracing and monitoring each block regularly.
  • Remain informed of all airline rules and regulations, communicating information to clients accurately.
  • Maintain records of all groups before and after departure, following up on inquiries until travel is completed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, building strong relationships with local sales teams and Revenue Optimization department in Dubai.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate degree.
  • Airlines sales experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Fares and ticketing/reservation skills.
  • Skilled user of MS Office packages and GDS System.
  • Superior communication skills - written and spoken - in English.
  • Ability to work under stress while maintaining high productivity.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Right to live and work in India.
