The key responsibilities of a Treasury Manager include managing the company's cash flow, investments, and debt instruments. This role involves preparing daily cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity and analyzing variances.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and analyzing variances to ensure liquidity.
- Identifying and processing investments in Mutual Funds, Fixed Deposits, and other debt instruments.
- Laying down investment policies and internal control requirements.
- Sourcing and executing debt instruments such as bank loans and commercial paper.
- Managing working capital limits and trade finance products across group entities.
- Ensuring compliance with banking regulations, including covenant compliance and periodic reporting.
- Trading in foreign exchange to hedge currency exposure.
- Managing Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) reporting and compliances.
- Processing bill of exchange issuances and monitoring open bills and limits with banks.
- Maintaining treasury-related data and documents and supporting internal/external audits.
- Providing regular updates on treasury activities to senior management.
This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in treasury management, accounting, and finance. A good understanding of financial regulations and laws is also essential.
