Job Title: Portfolio Investment Manager

This role involves overseeing the deployment of funds within a company to achieve targeted returns on investments.

  • The successful candidate will analyze financial statements, develop investment thesis, and perform market and portfolio analysis to support equity investment decisions.
  • They will also provide continuous coverage on allocated industry sectors and individual stocks, monitor earning results, and conduct corporate actions analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of company and sector dynamics, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should be able to convey effectively and interact with both external and internal stakeholders to achieve results.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Drilling deep into company and sector dynamics to make informed investment decisions.
  • Examining financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Developing investment thesis and providing coverage on allocated industry sectors and individual stocks.
  • Monitoring earning results, conducting corporate actions analysis, and analyzing macro events and their effects on stock moves and directions.

To excel in this role, the candidate should have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in a related field, preferably in corporate finance or treasury management. A CA or full-time MBA finance degree is required, along with proficiency in MS Office and working experience with SAP.

The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated investment desk that adheres to an investment policy and makes informed decisions on investments. They will work closely with various teams, including front office, group treasury head, and finance teams across the group.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • CA / Full time MBA Finance with minimum 8 -12 years of experience.
  • Working experience of SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Communication skills – Should be able to convey effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact with a view to getting the job done across both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Listening skills – the role involves a lot of coordination across external & internal stakeholders & therefore listening to different viewpoints including its interpretation without which concluding or getting results will be difficult.
