Design and develop innovative data solutions with us.

We're seeking a skilled Freelance Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for crafting data pipelines using AWS services like Glue, PySpark, and Step Functions. Your expertise in pytest for testing and Git/GitHub for version control will ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Design: Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines utilizing AWS Glue, PySpark, and Step Functions.
  • ETL/ELT Processes: Implement ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data from multiple sources.
  • Storage Solutions: Manage and optimize storage solutions with Amazon S3.
  • Python Code: Write reusable and maintainable Python code for data engineering workflows.
  • Unit and Integration Tests: Implement unit and integration tests using pytest to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate using Git/GitHub for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD integration.
  • Technical Documentation: Create clear and concise technical documentation for pipelines, workflows, and design decisions.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and AWS services.
Qualifications:
  • 5–10 years of data engineering experience, with at least 5 years in the AWS ecosystem.
  • Strong coding skills in Python with experience in PySpark.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Step Functions, and S3.
  • Proficiency in pytest for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of Git/GitHub workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on documentation and knowledge sharing.
