Job Description

As a Senior Data Architect in the Health Payer Domain, you will design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures to drive business growth. You will lead the development of long-term data strategies and short-term tactical data solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, T-SQL, and relational database systems, as well as hands-on experience with data modeling and database design. Additionally, they will possess a strong understanding of ETL processes, data governance, and data integration frameworks.

We are looking for a leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, define non-functional requirements, and support project estimation and planning. The successful candidate will also have experience in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and knowledge of data warehouse, Hadoop, data analytics, and transformation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.
  • Develop logical and physical data models across systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/Cloud teams to ensure performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, facilitating onboarding, training, and skill-building.
  • Participate in technical forums and share knowledge across teams.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years in IT with at least 3 years as a Data Architect.
  • Expert-level in SQL, T-SQL, and relational database systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on data modeling and database design.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data governance, and data integration frameworks.
  • Experience in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the Health Payer domain (FACETS preferred).
  • Knowledge of Hadoop technologies (Hive, Pig, MapReduce).
  • Exposure to data visualization, streaming, and NoSQL databases.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creativity in solution development.
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
