Strategic Data Solutions Lead

Experience: 10 - 14 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and architecting data-intensive applications

Location: Gurugram, Chennai, Jaipur, Pune, Bhopal, Bangalore

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Data Solutions Lead to lead our Data Warehouse team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for proposing architecture, solving complex situations and data modeling, interacting directly with clients for requirement gathering, building a holistic roadmap, identifying risks, and having a mitigation strategy.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Senior Engineers in designing and implementing large-scale data warehouses
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and deliver high-quality features
  • Develop and implement workflow management systems using cloud-native technologies
  • Design and develop data models using Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats
  • Implement CI/CD processes using Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
  • Provide technical guidance on unit testing and test automation frameworks
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms with a focus on backend and data engineering
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team of Senior Engineers
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in using Python, JVM, and Shell Scripting with production experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in building cloud native data-intensive applications with Amazon Web Services experience
  • Experience in Data Warehouse design and development using modern data warehouses
  • Hands-on experience in Databricks and dbt
  • Highly proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Delta Lake, and other OTFs file formats
  • Proficiency in an IaC tool such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
  • Experience with observability systems
  • Strong experience in building CI/CD processes
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks

Soft Skills:

  • Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Able to provide good quality readable business documentation
  • Pro-active and service-oriented towards internal customers
