Job Description:

A Global Accounting startup has entrusted us with the mandate to hire a US Certified Public Accountant.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing accurate financial records, ledgers, journals, and financial statements for US-based clients.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial data regularly.
  • Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns (income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, etc.) in accordance with IRS guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with US tax regulations, filing deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Assisting clients with tax planning, minimizing tax liabilities while maximizing legal deductions.
  • Reviewing and analyzing tax notices and correspondence, assisting clients with resolution.
  • Providing insights on withholding taxes, foreign investments, and treaty benefits, where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) qualification is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates pursuing CPA/EA are welcome.
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TurboTax, Lacerte).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and US reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements, manage ledgers, and support audits.
