Project Manager Job Description

This is a leadership role that requires expertise in managing large-scale projects, overseeing teams and ensuring timely completion. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.

Job Summary:

As a seasoned Deputy Project Manager (DPM), you will be responsible for leading high-volume projects with budgets exceeding 500 crores, commanding the entire project with expertise in tender clauses, billings, department correspondence, and claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Execute single projects of significant volume, develop detailed project plans considering timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
  2. Project Execution: Command entire projects with thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations, resolve issues such as forest permissions, highway permissions, local bodies permissions.
  3. Team Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, collaborate with teams to create a high-performance working environment.
  4. Financial Management: Prepare budgets, manage projects according to budget, control costs to achieve targeted margins, assess and approve project expenditures considering financial implications.
  5. Quality Control: Understand and execute quality control measures, safety rules, and regulations, negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors, plan resources, manpower, and materials to achieve budgeted performance.
  6. Risk Management: Apply accounting principles, financial aspects, risk management, and strategic decisions.
