Benefits Strategist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Benefits Strategist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing benefit strategies that align with our company goals.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement benefit programs that meet the needs of our clients.

You will have:

  • Proven Leadership skill traits, with a background in leadership roles
  • Effective Communication and Presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus

To succeed, you will need:

  • Domain knowledge preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in insurance industry
  • Post Graduate / Actuarial; Experience in Health Insurance preferred

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess client employee health and benefits programs, including plan design, vendor relationships, and cost drivers.
  2. Develop tailored recommendations to improve benefits offerings, enhance employee engagement, and control costs.
  3. Analyze industry trends, emerging benefits solutions, and best practices to deliver innovative advice.
  4. Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services to current clients.
  5. Participate in prospecting opportunities with new clients as part of a broader sales team.
  6. Collaborate with other teams for Client RFP, Plan Renewal, and Implementation processes.
  7. Coordinate project plans, as well as periodic presentations for specific client groups.
  8. Develop and manage long and short-range benefit strategies for clients, foster strong client relationships.
  9. Benchmark survey data for client plans, summarize and validate reviewed information.
  10. Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted benefits advisor.
  11. Contribute to thought leadership, webinars, and internal knowledge sharing on employee health and benefits topics.
  12. Identify and understand negotiable elements of underwriting calculations for employee health and benefits.
