Compliance Officer Job Description
The Compliance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Regulatory Submissions: Periodically upload submissions in portals after concurrence with stakeholders.
- Awareness of Submission Process: Familiarize yourself with the process of submitting regulations, including business submissions, schedules submissions, SP submissions, complaints submissions, financial statements submissions, and compliance certificates as applicable.
- Registers Maintenance: Track, align, and coordinate with respective teams to maintain registers in an appropriate format for submission.
- Communication to Regulators: Notify regulators of branch openings and closures, directorship changes, and regulatory charges levied.
- IIB Envoy Portal Update: Upload, track, and review salesperson and SP details periodically.
- Licenses Renewal: Track and renew licenses in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Regulatory Checklist Maintenance: Track the regulatory checklist, including data maintenance, timely submissions, grievances, etc., completely with stakeholders.
- Reconciliations Tracking: Coordinate with finance, product teams, and insurers for monthly reconciliation sign-off and follow up on identified gaps.
- Grievance Tracking/Data Maintenance: Track grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinate resolution with insurers, business, product, and branch teams.
- Audit Initiation for Branch & Tracking: Provide Audit Checklists and coordinate with functional audit teams to track resolutions for branches.
- AML Compliance Check: Provide checklists to the compliance team and coordinate cases with internal and external stakeholders.
- Legal/Litigation Tracking: Bookkeep insurance case litigation, open cases, and update regulators as needed.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform delegated activities by management and supervisors from time to time.
Requirements: 4-8 years of experience in a similar domain.
