Job Overview:

  • As a senior logistics professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the import ocean freight operations from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation requirements. They should also possess excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the import ocean freight operations, ensuring timely cargo clearance and delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time for import processes.
  • Oversee pre-alerts, booking coordination, documentation, customs compliance, and end-to-end import shipment handling.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and timely cargo clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international import regulations, customs laws, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Monitor departmental performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of international trade practices, customs clearance procedures, documentation, and INCOTERMS.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Results-driven with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
