Job Description:

A leading airline is seeking a Senior Associate Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the IT Network Domain, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing and maintaining the organization's networking infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing network changes during designated change windows
  • Creating network changes as required by the ticketing system per incident
  • Performing Lifecycle Management functions
  • Performing Vulnerability Management functions
  • Identifying proper escalations associated with incidents as they occur
  • Following change and engineering standards documentation
  • Providing network triage for all network incidents
  • Serving as second-tier support for network operations team when needed
  • Participating in on-call support escalation rotation
  • Serving as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to L1 Network Operations Team

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline
  • At least 1 year of experience designing, developing and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Airline Industry experience

Skills and Licenses:

  • Experience working with network tools such as CA Spectrum and Wireshark
  • Experience working with Velocloud / Viptela SDWAN / Aruba / Meraki/ Nexus /Palo Alto Firewalls/Zscaler equipment is an advantage
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • Experience in switch upgrades and refresh activity
  • Basic understanding of public cloud and Azure cloud networking
  • Firewall troubleshooting skill
  • Basic Wi-Fi design understanding and troubleshooting skill

Language and Communication Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
  • Physical ability necessary to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of the position, with or without any legally required reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue hardship
