Delivery Management Position Overview

Job Role

We are seeking a seasoned Delivery Manager to lead our operations teams and drive successful cargo delivery outcomes.

  • The ideal candidate will oversee the coordination of imports and exports departments, ensuring timely and accurate processes.
  • A strong focus on delivering quality service to customers is essential.
  • Maintenance of regulatory compliance with governing bodies such as USA & Canada Customs/IATA/TSA is crucial.
  • Supervising shift managers and regularly reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs) is also vital.
  • Timely resolution of escalations and exceptions during shipment processes will be expected.
Responsibilities

The selected individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide regular feedback, training, and development sessions.
  • Foster an operational thinking and ownership mindset within the team.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency or data integrity issues.
  • Propose automation, smarter workflows, and better controls.
Accountability

The Delivery Manager will be accountable for:

  • Setting goals and objectives for the team in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Using established indicators and tools appropriately.
  • Ensuring all accounting matters are finalized to maximize revenue.
Leadership

This role requires strong leadership and people management skills, including:

  • Leading, motivating, and managing operations teams.
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews.
  • Monitoring staff performance and working with HR on employee relations and training issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with freight forwarding procedures and financials.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred: Commerce, International Trade, Logistics).
  • 5+ years of industry-related experience required, preferably in freight forwarding.
  • 2+ years of team management experience, including managing team leads or shift managers.

Prioritizing attention to detail, data integrity, and customer service mindset is essential for this position.
