SRE Leadership Role

This key leadership position plays a vital part in defining and implementing the SRE strategy, promoting an 'Automate-first' culture in operating services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing SRE Strategy: Define, drive, and implement the SRE strategy to reduce toil and promote automation in services.
  • Cultivating Automation Culture: Foster an 'Automate-first' culture in service operations by reducing unnecessary tasks and processes.
  • Toil Elimination and Process Optimization: Develop methodologies for identifying toil-heavy processes and automate or eliminate them to improve operational efficiency.
  • Engineering and Operational Service Metrics: Assist in creating metrics to measure engineering and operational service performance, with actionable plans to enhance quality, optimize delivery, and reduce delays.
  • SLOs for Critical Services: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical services.
  • Monitoring Strategy Development: Work with the Engineering team to design and implement a monitoring strategy that meets business needs.
  • Reliability Improvements: Design and implement reliability improvements to minimize downtime and ensure high system availability.
  • Capacity Planning and Chaos Engineering: Conduct capacity planning and perform chaos engineering exercises to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Architectural Reviews and Continuous Improvement: Lead architectural reviews focused on reliability and drive continuous improvement from incidents to enhance overall system reliability.
