Key Role in Coal Mines Development

Vedanta is an Indian multinational conglomerate with diversified interests that operates in the business of aluminium, copper, zinc, iron ore, lead, silver, oil and gas, and commercial power generation. The company is rapidly scaling its efforts to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production, offering a wide range of high-quality aluminium products.

This role will be crucial for commencing new mines to achieve the vision. Strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills are required to drive the growth of coal mines business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Resource Modelling, Pit Optimization, Scheduling.
  • DPR preparation for mining blocks.
  • Preparation of Mining Plan (Statutory and operational).
  • Conduct scoping studies, feasibility studies, HEMM requirements.
  • Undertake exploration programme including in-fill drilling to capture desired quality and quantity from mine.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies of state and central government authorities for clearances and approvals.
  • Responsible for providing necessary data inputs for obtaining Forest and Environmental Clearance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 60% and above throughout education.
  • B.Tech / M. Tech (Mining Engineer) degree with 10+ years of experience, preferably in similar roles.
  • Knowledge & exposure to project planning & tracking tools like MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Auto-CAD, documentation management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mining approvals, commencement and mining operations.
  • Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines.
