High-Performance Backend Developer Needed

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned backend developer to join our high-energy team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for architecting and maintaining the scalable infrastructure of our global sports media platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement highly available and efficient AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudFront)
  • Engineer the backend services that power our platform—prioritizing speed and reliability
  • Drive web performance optimization—debug bottlenecks, fine-tune APIs, manage caching/CDN, and deliver consistently fast experiences worldwide
  • Evaluate and optimize WordPress CMS pipelines to ensure content delivery is robust and scalable
  • Owning uptime, infra budgets, SLAs, and monitoring alerts, working closely with DevOps and product leads
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Advanced AWS skills with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK) and proven cost optimization at scale
  • Experience running high-traffic platforms with real-world debugging and performance tuning
  • Strong backend expertise: Python, modern database systems, and Vercel (or intent to learn)
  • Curiosity and adaptability with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning
  • 4+ years in software development (consumer products preferred)
