Panora is the Super App of Aptos, at the core of which is our DEX aggregator, routing trades across multiple liquidity venues to deliver best rates for traders.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Rust Backend Engineer who thrives at the intersection of blockchain, performance optimization, and systems design.

You'll work on the core backend infrastructure that powers Panora's aggregation engine, real-time flows, and smart routing, while helping build scalable, latency-sensitive systems.

This is a high-impact role with room to shape both the architecture and core logic of the platform, alongside some of the sharpest minds in Web3.

What You'll Do

- Design and implement high-performance backend services in Rust, optimized for real-time execution and low-latency routing.
- Build concurrency-heavy, async systems.
- Collaborate with frontend, infra, and protocol engineers to ship features.
- Set up observability pipelines for protocol monitoring.
- Contribute to infrastructure scaling via tools like Redis (clusters/queues), Elasticache, Aurora, and CloudFront.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and code quality standards.
- Stay current with trends in Rust, DeFi, Aptos, and backend optimization.

What You Bring

- 2–3 years of backend development, with at least 1 year in Rust.
- Strong understanding of system design, microservices, and API architecture.
- Experience with Tokio, Actix, or other async Rust ecosystems.
- Familiarity with blockchain internals and smart contract design is a plus.
- Hands-on with PostgreSQL, Redis, or other high-performance datastores.
- Comfort with GitHub, remote teams, and fast-paced iteration.
- Bonus: Experience on Aptos or Sui, or with bridging & aggregation infrastructure.
